hello be my bully is an erotic satire about porn

and you can buy episode 1 for the low low price of $0.99 for the next two days if you shop on Amazon.com or .co.uk…and i damn well know all you uk pervos are lining up to see a bunch of american schoolgirls getting caned, paddled, etc. on the various porn sites you have to buy licenses from mummy government or whatever to look at, so don’t act like you can’t drop 99 cents to read about it.

the other day i saw somebody really get chewed out on the subreddit for erotica authors because they had the A U D A C I T Y to say that they found erotica preferable to pornography because of the exploitative or sometimes violent nature of filmed content. some butthurt asshole really jumped down their throat about how they’re taking advantage of an industry built on the backs of sex workers blah blah blah, whatever. it’s reddit, people will get upset about anything. but this post sequence really bothered me because ultimately i do personally believe filmed pornography is intellectually damaging, compared to literary erotica which can actually be uplifting. for instance reading justine by the marquis de sade really did liberate me, and that’s in part what it is designed to do–to demonstrate with gratuitous and sometimes hilarious acts of truly depraved cruelty how futile and self-destructive it is to try to hold on to some kind of “moral” stance on sexuality in this or any world.

has any porno ever been filmed with character development? has one of these movies ever had an explanation for why all these step-siblings and babysitters are horny and damaged enough to possess literally zero sense of the longterm consequences of their exploits? of course not, that’s not what these movies are for. these movies are for getting off, kind of like erotica. but what i think that pissed off reddit poster failed to understand is that erotica pre-dates the invention of the camera, you dipshits. yes incredibly, long before people figured out they could film each other fucking, they had no choice but to write down stories and drawings of other people fucking. for a long, long long long time sexualized stories were actual stories with characters and vague plots about as thin as the pulp paper they were written on. then porn showed up and said, ‘boy, film’s expensive and people don’t want to fast forward, let’s cut out all the story and get to the fucking.’

great on the one hand, but on the other, creative hand it creates this strange porn universe with its own logic and total lack of rules or social structure. even in the universe of the marquis de sade there were characters who were ostensibly morally righteous but in porn it’s just a bunch of family members, teachers, friends, doctors, lawyers, bosses, etc, just fucking everybody that moves. and sometimes i’ve watched these movies and the premises are so absurd they literally turn me off, which is impressive, let me tell you.

i started be my bully as what stephen king calls my “toy train,” which is his term for the story you write on the side, just for fun, just to decompress from your regular writing. and it was always intended to be an erotica inspired by pornographic spanking movies, but because of that the premise naturally developed by really the end of the first chapter (called now ‘episode’) into being a satirical one. the more i tried to write about these scenarios i had seen popularized in porn, the more i realized how absurd they were and how impossible they were to depict in characters with any depth without exploring the issue of grave trauma and its effects on the developing brain. real people simply don’t act like porn characters; no one can behave with the casual disregard for consequence shown by all the porn archetypes and expect to maintain any semblance of a functioning life. but if porn archetypes were real, expanded upon characters, what would they be like?

thus, be my bully came into steady existence. episode 9’s cover and metadata has just been uploaded to the amazon store for approval. now that i’m ahead on episodes of dottie it’s looking like be my bully will be my main project for the next few weeks, except for a paranormal horrotica novella i’m working on. you weirdos will like it. anyway buy be my bully episode 1 for 99 cents and then read the rest of the series for $2.99 apiece…or FREE on Kindle Unlimited.
